Love Yourself First Before Loving Someone Else
Why is it that people now a days put so much effort into loving someone else before loving themselves? Yes, we as humans have the tendency to put our all into the ones our hearts are crazy for, but yet we never seem to think about our own hearts. Love is like crazy roller coaster, you never know which turn its going to take, but that never seems to scare anyone because humans accept challenges and pain. It just perplexes me to try to comprehend the human mind when it comes to love. Me, personally, I am a sucker for it. I do everything to please my other-half as well as I bend over backwards for what ever they do, but it always seems not enough, at least this is what my heart has been telling me for some time. I think the real reason why this may be is because there may be a slight opening for fear of being alone or just holding on to someone who claims they love me, but is this really healthy for me or healthy for anyone else? The answer may be no.
We all know that we have heard this saying of, " you can't love someone unless you love yourself ", which is very true, because how can we love someone else when we don't fully love ourselves, we're our own greatest teacher in this field.
But here are some steps that I use to tell my self how much I love me:

But here are some steps that I use to tell my self how much I love me:
- Look in the mirror at yourself and say one thing you like/love about yourself.
- Devote your own special time to yourself to do what ever you want.** This is important for anyone to do.
- Write a list of what you'd like to work on about yourself as well as saying what's something good that can come out from this change.
- Be around positive people and energy** (This has a huge affect on your self-esteem more than you think).
- Repeat any necessary steps as you see fit.
